City of Princeton Link Policy

The mission of the City of Princeton’s web site, princetoniowa.us  is to provide residents, businesses, and visitors online access to government departments, forms, services, and programs.  From time to time, the City may wish to provide links to other sites which, in the opinion of the City, provide additional information to our residents, businesses, and visitors about the community, including festivals, cultural events, and local news.

            ·        All links must have direct relevance to the City of Princeton, Iowa, or its Citizens.

·        Links are permitted to U.S., State, or local governments or educational agencies.

·        Links are permitted to not-for-profit groups or organizations that promote public health, safety, education, welfare, and civic activities within the City Princeton, Iowa.

·        If a website or website’s sponsors are engaged in political or unlawful activities, the City of Princeton will not permit linking to such website.

·        The City of Princeton reserves the right to reject any link it deems inappropriate.  By including a link on the City of Princeton website, it in no way indicates endorsement of that web site or a verification of the information on the linked site.  The City of Princeton is not liable for the defamatory, offensive or illegal conduct of users, links, or third parties.

·        Other web sites are free to include links to the City of Princeton’s website with prior approval of the City of Princeton.

·        If the City of Princeton rejects a link, the requesting party had the right to request a hearing before the City Council.

·        The location of any link established within the City of Princeton’s website will be entirely at the sole discretion of the City of Princeton.

·        The City of Princeton reserves the right to change any or all of this policy without prior notice.

The City of Princeton website is continually under development.  While every attempt is made to keep the information timely and accurate, there are no guarantees.  Every effort will be made to correct errors brought to the City’s attention.
