SPECIAL NOTICE:

Go Fish’s "Give Back to the Community" campaign will donate 10% of Monday sales in April to the Princeton Recreation Trail Committee.  This is the last month of this initiative, so help support our community.

Grissom School Carnival is on March 29 from 11-2.  Anyone wanting to volunteer, donate a raffle item or a 2-liter bottle of soda, please call Stephania Sacia at 563-340-7934.  Items may be dropped off at the school on the 27th or 28th.

Auditions for the Princeton Players 3rd annual “Act Out Variety Show” will be held on March 30 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. in the afternoon.  The show will be held on April 12th at 7:00 p.m. and April 13th at 2:00 p.m. at the Princeton Community Center.  Cost will be $10 for adults and $5 for children up to age 12.  For those that would like to attend both nights there is a two-night pass available for $15 for adults and $7.50 for children up to age 12. 

The Easter Bunny will be at Woomert Park on Saturday April 19th at 10 a.m. sharp for the annual Easter egg hunt.

The Library is also having an Easter egg hunt on April 19th at 10:30 a.m.

COMMUNITY INFORMATION: 

Windstream Communications is placing underground telephone cables and any associated pedestals or equipment within their 15’ utility easement in Lost Grove. All digging required will be restored to a condition of the same or better than the original when the ground is more pliable. Any concerns please call OSP Engineer Dale Graff, 641-269-7725.

The City Council approved an ordinance that golf carts are permitted from dawn until dusk in Princeton.  All applicants must be 18, have a driver’s license and insurance.  Permits are available at the City Hall for an annual fee.  The carts  must be equipped with front and tail lights, a bicycle safety flag and a slow moving vehicle sign and will be operable on City streets only – not Highway 67 except to cross.  For further information contact Chief Carsten.

The City Website has new additions of monthly Council meeting minutes and financial reports including Fund Balance, Revenues and Expenditures.

All City committee meetings are open to the public at 6:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

1st Monday – Plan and Zoning Committee with note that extra meetings may be called for special projects – City Hall 

1st Monday – Park Board – Library

1st Thursday – Sidewalk Committee – City Hall

1st  Thursday – Community Center Committee - Library

2nd Thursday – City Council – City Hall

3rd Wednesday– Economic Development Committee – 6:30 p.m. - City Hall

Recycle dates are: April 11th and 25th.
