National Kids to Parks Day is May 18th, from 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Old School Park. There will be walking tacos, games and stories.

City clean-up day will be May 18th. E-waste items, small appliances, household miscellaneous items will be accepted. No hazardous materials please. Drop off items from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Public Works building. You can also take your items to County Waste. Call 563-381-1300 for appt. or go to www.wastecom.com.
T-Ball Princeton has a new T-Ball town representative - Sarah Kane. They do not have dates yet, but need to start setting up teams. If your child is between the ages of 4-6 years old and you are interested in signing up for T-Ball, please contact Sarah at 563-343-5708.

Auditions for the Princeton Players summer production, August 9, 10, and 11, "ArgoNUTS - Jason and the Quest for the Golden Fleece" will be Thursday, May 16 (5-7pm at the Community Center) and Saturday, May 18 (1-4pm at Zion Lutheran Church). COMMUNITY INFORMATION:
Memorial Day Service, will be Monday, May 27th, at 9:00 a.m. at the Princeton Community Center. American Legion Post #347 will officiate.
Public Works requests you do not put anything into the sewer system except toilet paper. Hand wipes, baby wipes, etc., although they say they are biodegradable, accumulate and have caused numerous sewer back-ups.
On-Line Bill payment is being discussed as an option by the City Council. If you have an opinion regarding this issue, please come to the City Council meeting, May 9th, at 6:00 p.m. and voice your opinion.
Still looking for volunteers for an informal census. Princeton, according to the census, has lost population. Because of some of the results, the Mayor and Council question its accuracy and, before undertaking an expensive Special Census, will be taking an informal one to see if it merits an expenditure. If you would like to assist with this, please contact City Hall. This will not take a lot of time.
All City committee meetings are open to the public at 6:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

City Offices will be closed on Monday, May 27th, for the observance of Memorial Day. Garbage pick-up that week will be Saturday, June 1st.
