Princeton Community Center Board Members will host the monthly “Coffee and Conversation” April 7, 2015 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00.  Bill Grunder of Retirement Solutions of America will sponsor the event and provide a free pancake breakfast.

This monthly event is available to be hosted by an individual or a business. Please contact Princeton City Hall at 563-289-5315

Euchre will begin at the Community Center on March 25th and will be held the fourth Wednesday of each month through October.  The event begins at 11:30 by ordering lunch from Go Fish (attendees pay for lunches). Euchre will be from 12:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.  It is co-sponsored by Zion Lutheran Church in Princeton and Thrivent Financial. The PTA Blood Drive will be on Saturday, March 28th at the Community Center from 7:00 a.m. to 11 a.m.  To donate, please contact Amy at 289-4212.

Library Events:
Story Time at 10:00 a.m. every Wednesday.

Easter Egg Hunt on April 4 at the library at 10:30 a.m.

Lego at the Library on April 15th from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. 

Kids, Crafts, & Cookies on April 25th from 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.

Live from Princeton it's Saturday Night!" will be presented March 28th and 29th at 2:00 p.m.  Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children and seniors.   Tickets may be purchased at the door or online at www.princetonplayers.org.

The Easter Bunny will be at Woomert Park on Saturday April 4th at 10 a.m. sharp for the annual Easter Egg Hunt.

Princeton Days will host a soup supper on April 12 from 4-6:30pm. Fee for adults is $7.00 and $5.00 for children 6 – 12 years old.  Bingo will follow. 

City cleanup day will be Saturday, April 18 from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Public Works building.  Accepted will be small appliances, and household miscellaneous items. No hazardous materials, E-waste items, or tires.   You may always take your items to County Waste. Call 563-381-1300 for appt. or go to www.wastecom.com.

A Main Street Assessment team will be coming to Princeton on May 19-21 to review our community and make suggestions as to how we can improve it and focus on our strengths.  Various residents will be contacted in groups for interviews to help the process.  There will be interviews with children, teachers, community leaders, council, citizens in general.  Please look for further updates on this exciting opportunity.

Wheels for Wishes is a program new to Princeton.  Citizens may donate their unwanted cars, trucks, motorcycles, SUV, RV, or boats to be towed, free of charge.  These vehicles are sold at auction or recycled and 100% of the proceeds go to Make-A-Wish Iowa. The organization is a 501(c)(3) so all donations are tax-deductible.  For further information call 855-369-9474.  This information is also available on the City’s website.

The 2015 dog licenses must be purchased by March 31, 2015 in order to avoid a penalty.  After March 31, 2015, there is an additional $10.00 per month penalty for registering your dog.

For your convenience City Hall will be open on Saturday, March 28nd from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. for those who cannot come in during the week to register your dog.

Please do not include your dog license fee in with you utility payment. Please make out a separate check or cash for accounting purposes

City Hall will be closed April 3, Good Friday.

All City committee meetings are open to the public at 6:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

1st Monday – Plan and Zoning Committee with note that extra meetings may be called for special projects – City Hall

1st Monday – Park Board - 5:30 - Library

1st Tuesday – Sidewalk Committee  – City Hall

1st Tuesday 10:00 a.m. – Community Center Committee – Community Center

2nd Thursday – City Council – City Hall

3rd Wednesday – Economic Development Committee – 6:30 p.m. – City Hall

Recycle dates are: April 10th and 24th.
