Welcome to public works
Our job is to maintain city streets, city parks, and all city
buildings and properties. Public works also provides street
cleaning and flood control when the river is out of its
boundaries. The public works department also provides
maintenance for all city ball diamonds.
Hours:
The public works department is on duty 7 AM to 3:30 PM Mon.-Fri.
Our office is located on the corner of Hwy. 67 and Clay. Contact
the police dept. (563)289- after 4:00 to get in touch with our
on call public works personnel.

Our city engineering firm in cooperation with
the public works department is responsible for inspecting all
water and and sewer connections within the city right of way as
well as all street construction and drainage projects.
